Fragments of Beauty — reflections by Donna Gracia Bella on finding grace in the ordinary.

Small wonders gathered along the way — proof that grace lives in the ordinary.

The Way Light Rests on Things

Beauty doesn’t always announce itself — sometimes it waits for you to slow down enough to notice.
It hides in the pause before a word, in the soft curve of a leaf, in the way late sunlight touches what we usually ignore.

We spend so much of our lives chasing what dazzles that we forget the holiness of the ordinary.
But there are moments — brief, unguarded — when life stops pretending to be complicated, and simply is.

It’s in those fragments that grace lives: quiet, unmeasured, unearned.
They don’t ask to be captured, only remembered.
